President’s Greeting:

Good afternoon! I’d like to welcome you to the Rotary Club of Mountain View. My name is Scott Johnson, your President for 2017-2018

Our Rotary International theme for this year is “Rotary: Making a Difference.” Our Mountain View Rotary Club theme is “Mountain View Rotary: Having Fun Making a Difference.”

Vocational Minute/Spotlight: Dick Lubman – Free Little Libraries – there are 1000’s of them! They were started by a Rotarian from Wisconsin. Also 91% of youth worldwide are literate.

Reminder to the Board: there is no Board Meeting in August. Next: Thursday, Sep. 21^st.
President’s Club: Recognition of new members (present certificates). Thanks to all! We are presently up to 12 members for a total of $1,800. Heather signed up today and Ernie was recognized for joining last week.

Villa Siena Social on Tuesday, August 29^th - BBQ Social
Question: How many will be able to attend the District Governor visit on Sep. 5^th? May re-schedule if not enough Board members can make it.
