  • Speech Contest for our Club is February 7th (Judy & Sanjay in charge). The Area 9 contest will be hosted by the Los Altos Sunset Rotary Club on March 14.
  • Alan discussed the January 28th Crab Feed.  He needs to know by next week how many tickets will be sold and how many people will be coming.
  • Walt, “4 fer” for the day, shared a thought.  He was thanked for providing the dessert.
  • Mountain View Rotary golf tournament and BBQ will be held on June 9.

Dave Cole auctioned Tori’s generous offer of a night at her Half Moon Bay studio – a $250 value.  After a tremendous bidding war, Roger was the winner with a generous offer of $295.  Way to go Roger!

Speaker:
Jim Mobley RN at Stanford discussed CPR and saving lives.  Jim is an expert in CPR and emergency services.  Jim explained the history of resuscitation attempts.  46% of cardiac arrest victims can be helped by CPR without help, only 1% survive.  Good Samaritan laws in California protect people who try to help.
