Deliver Wheelchairs to Hong Kong and China

For many years, Rotarians have donated money, matched by the Wheelchair Foundation, to provide wheelchairs to those who lack mobility.  A wonderful part of this process is that the Rotarians can put someone into a chair and see how they respond as their life is changed.

In October 2008, The Rotary Club of Foster City will be traveling to Hong Kong and the People's Republic of China for 14 days to work with the Hong Kong and Chinese Rotarians to deliver wheelchairs.  In addition to service opportunity, they will spend time creating life time friendships with the Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing Rotarians, going to off-the-beaten track places in Hong Kong and China.  The members of the Mountain View club are invited to join them.   

The program includes airfare, hotels, transfers, and special events.
