President’s Greeting:  
 
Good afternoon!   I’d like to welcome you to the Rotary Club of Mountain View. My name is Bert Raphael, your President for 2018-2019. 
 
Our Rotary International theme for this is “Be the Inspiration”.  Our Mountain View Rotary Club theme is “Have Fun Being the Inspiration.”  
 
Thought for the Day:   Dennis Kobza spoke to theme that we should all appreciate the day.
 
Song of the Day:  Songmaster Phil led us in "My Country 'Tis of Thee."
 
Introduction of Visiting Rotarians & Guests:  Tom introduced Charlie Wasserman who will be providing us with tips and advice for growing our membership.
 
Announcements:
  • Thanks to Dennis   for being the “3fer” today!
  • Tom – Monthly Speaker Chairs for next year – still openings for speaker chair in January and March.
  • Twana – Social next week at her place
  • Bruce – Vocational talk plan
  • Tori – Monthly social hosts for the year – most slots are taken!!!
  • Bert & Dave –Art/Wine service project update
  • Dave /Paul/Bert – Stevens Creek Trail cleaning project update – we have an agreement with the city
  • Bert – District emphasis on membership. Rotaract dual memberships. Bring a friend to Rotary.
  • Bert – Sponsoring a new Rotaract club
  • Bert – Leadership Academy
  • Monique - Foundation---Monique recognized several new pledges and donations to the Rotary Foundation, including:  Judy, Jack, Scott, Hiro, Paul, Hal and Dennis.  Thank you!!
 
Members to Remember?    Alan Goodman's wife Kathleen has undergone knee surgery.  She came through the procedure fine and is recovering at home.
