Greeting/Ring Bell
President Scott welcomed all to the meeting saying, "Welcome to our meeting of the Mountain View RotaryClub. This year's International Rotary Theme is 'The Magic of Rotary.' Our local club theme this centennial anniversary year is 'Mountain View Rotary: 100 Years of Creating Magic through Service and Fellowship.' " All joined in repeating the Pledge of Allegiance.
Thought for the Day
Margaret Abe Koga, as the 3'fer for the day, gave some thoughts about the Olympics, the achievements of the competitors, and the risks they take.
Introduction of Guests.
Eric Volta was introduced as a guest to Rotary for his second time attending the meeting.
Club Business/Announcements

Some upcoming dates were announced: Pickleball Fridays for Rotarians, 9:30 a.m., Rengstorff Park; Tuesdays, August 6th & 13th are regular club meetings; Tuesday, August 27th, there will be a social hosted by Tom and Judy (no luncheon meeting that day); Wednesday, August 28th, 5 p.m. Board Meeting at Tori's office (or Zoom); Friday, September 13th, 100 year Anniversary event (Bruce and Suzanne's house); Tuesday, September 17th, District Governor Jill Duerig's visit (meeting with board at 11:15 a.m.); District "Avenues of Service" Conference, Saturday, October 19th, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The program from Jim Cunningham's Memorial Service was circulated around the room.
The youth Mountain View Babe Ruth Team will be going to the World Series back east. Because some team players need financial assistance for the trip, Scott announced that he would be making a $250 donation from club from the President's discretionary funds, as well as congratulating them for their achievements and representing Mountain View so well.
Program - Natalee Wong, recent RYLA participant
Natalee, daughter of Rotarian Jack Wong, was introduced. She is a rising senior at Archbishop Mitty High School and spends her free time dancing, hanging out with friends, and volunteering. She dances competitively at a local dance studio in Cupertino where she also teaches. Natalee also dances on the high school’s dance team, The Royals, and loves sharing her spirit. Natalee is passionate about helping others and loves to volunteer with her dad at events with the Mountain View Rotary.
Natalee recently attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) leadership camp. She told the club of her experiences there, to include making many new friends who she is still staying in touch with. Natalee enjoyed the camp and learned a lot. She answered several questions from the Club.
Speaker Recognition A certificate was presented to Natalee thanking her for her remarks and letting her know the Club would be making a $25 contribution in her name to Rotary's Polio Plus Program.
