- MV Rotary Crab Feed was outstanding success
District Announcements:
- Far West President-Elect Training Seminar, March 3-5 at the Double Tree hotel in San Jose.
- Applications are now open for the 2024 Rotary Peace Fellowships
- Each year, Rotary awards fully funded fellowships for peacebuilders from diverse backgrounds to study at one of our peace centers located at premier universities around the world. This year, we’ll select 50 peace fellows to study in our master’s degree programs and 40 fellows to earn a professional development certificate

- April 29 is our district conference.
- The Ukraine Benefit was held on Jan. 29th. They raised over $60k.
- Rotary International Women’s Day will be held on March, 19. Refer to flyer for details
- Area 9 – Our Area picked Hope’s Corner for their Area Project.
SPEAKER:
- Kelly Flynn – Teacher, Hiker, Inspirational Speaker
She spoke about her 5 month hike of the entire Pacific Crest trail. She talked about the actual trail which is from the Mexican Border to the Canadian border and is hiked in 5 sections: desert, Sierras, Northern California, Oregon and finally Washington state. She described the beauty of each and the challenges of each part with lots of photos. She then went on to describe the preparation, hiking and culture of folks doing the incredible 2650 mile journey. She started out alone however hooked up with various “trail family” as she went along. She was very inspirational.

Adding a couple of photos from a Service Project Scott, Cathy, Paul, Suzanne and Bruce did on March 1st to move a local Senior back into her apartment.
