Program – Tori
Tori spoke about last year’s lawsuit against the National Association of Realtors (NAR) claiming that the trade group's policies violated antitrust laws by forcing homeowners to pay inflated real estate agent commissions. The lawsuit alleged that the NAR and other real estate brokerages conspired to keep commissions high.  The plaintiffs won.
Tori explained what has now changed due to this lawsuit and that now buyers need to sign a legal contract with an agent before seeing homes which can bind them to an agent that doesn’t give them good service.
