12:00PM: Greeting/Ring Bell (Fred) -- Hello! Welcome to our meeting of the Mountain View Rotary Club. This year's (new) International Rotary theme is “Together we will create lasting impact.”

Thought for the Day – (by Bert, the 3fer):
What is a Rotary Club? In 1976 the Rotary International Board of Directors was interested in creating a concise definition of the fundamental aspects of Rotary. They eventually came up with the following 31 words, which have been widely quoted:
“Rotary is an organization of business and professional persons united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world.”
Introduction of Guests (Fred): none
Club Business/Announcements:
- Alexander was congratulated on becoming a Company Commander.
- Heather reported on her impressive hike around Mount Blanc.

We will be exploring possible joint projects with other local organizations that require volunteer assistance, such as: CSA; City of Mountain View; Canopy; Hope’s Corner; Friends of Stevens Creek Trail; RotaCare; MV Schools.
