President Sanjay began his final meeting as President a 12:00 noon.
 
The Pledge of Allegiance was performed.
 
Walt Joyce gave a thought for the day wish that we all, and our contacts, be mindful of supporting our wonderful country by choosing representatives who believe in the constitution and democracy against the forces of  authoritarianism.
 
President Sanjay played a tape of some of a fine speech given by our RI President, smart, and a good speaker.
 
Scott Johnson reported on the upcoming RYLA BBQ event next week.  Walt Joyce and Judy Crates will attend to represent the club and support our two students who are attending the training program in Scotts Valley.
 
Honorary Member Hiro Kariya will be celebrating his 100th birthday.  The Buddhist Temple plans to celebrate Hiro and another Member who are both turning 100 following their 10 am service on Sunday.  More information about this will be provided when it is available.  
 
Jack Wong and Heather Stenshamn were our  speakers for the day explaining the somewhat complex features of the new SECURE 2.0 federal legislation which will eliminate some taxation for inherited IRAs and other pension plans.  They encouraged all of us to contact our accountants and financial professionals to get the best advice in using these important changes.
 
President Sanjay closed the meeting at 1:00 pm and was roundly thanked and saluted by the assembled members for an exemplary job of running the club, and engendering enthusiasm during  these different times.
