Greeting/Ring Bell (Scott)
Welcome to our meeting of the Mountain View Rotary Club. This year's International Rotary Theme is "The Magic of Rotary." Our local club theme this centennial anniversary year is "Mountain View Rotary: 100 Years of Creating Magic through Service and Fellowship."

Pledge of Allegiance Alex led us in the Pledge of Allegiance for his last Club Meeting before being deployed for Operation Spartan Shield.  Scott presented Alex with a card signed by Club Members wishing him well.

Cathy introduced Peter Katz who is the CEO of the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce.

Peter spoke about the role of the Chamber of Commerce in the Mountain View Community.  It is not affiliated with city government and most folks don’t really know what the Chamber does.  Its primary role is to work on the economic vitality of the city.  He went on to talk about many of the Chamber’s programs that help blend businesses and the community.
