President Tori opened the meeting reminding us that “We’re more than a club, we’re a family!”.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited

The Greeter was Bert, whose Thought for the Day was a review of some famous historical errors, with a reminder to “be careful what you say because fifty years from now someone may be quoting you!”

General club announcements:

Kathy reported that we still have $3,000 to $4,000 available for scholarships.

Paul reported on our Stevens Creek Trail cleaning efforts. A clean-up was done by our volunteers recently, and we will schedule another in the fall.

Scott told us about some of our members’ recent bocce ball experiences.

Speaker:
The program was presented by our own member, Alexander Amoroso, and his cousin, Mathew Lancaster, who are both officers in the U.S. Army Reserve. They described the role of the “Private Public Partnership Office (P3O)”, which finds job opportunities for returning or retiring reservists and their close family members.
