Meeting Notes -- November 2, 2021

 

President Heather welcomed everyone at 12.20 pm. to our first in-person meeting since the virus lockdown began.

 

After the Pledge of Allegiance Sheila voiced general thanks for the gathering, gratitude to Heather for holding the Club together with Zoom.

 

Sanjay announced the Holiday Party on Dec 10 will be at Don Giovanni's.

 

Bruce reported our good turnout for the Stevens Creek Trail cleanup.

 

President Heather will have the Club Board meeting by Zoom Nov 10 at 5.30 pm. She thanked Bruce, Alan and Sanjay for joining the President's Club.

 

Mandy, Foundation Chair, distributed letters asking for donations to the Rotary Foundation to continue our Club's 100% support.

 

President Heather will give $500 from the President's Discretionary Fund to District 5170 Wheelchair distributions in Mexico and Syria. We are encouraged to contribute to this cause in memory of our long time member Frank Davila who brought wheelchairs many times to Mexico.

 

Jack Wong was today's speaker. An experienced Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager, he discussed different investment possibilities and variations in the Market showing how timing is a most important factor.

 

Our next meeting will be Nov 9. Guest speaker, Lisa Villareal of First American Exchange Company will talk about 1031 deferred Exchanges.
