Good Afternoon & welcome to the Rotary Club of Mtn. View where: We are a Fun, Enthusiastic & Inspiring Rotary Family…we are the BEST Rotary Club around!!!
Our International theme for 2016-2017 is “Rotary Serving Humanity”
Our District Governors call to action is “Attract the Young, Have Lots of Fun, Get More Done! And our Clubs call to action is: “Make the World A Better Place!” Thank you all for joining us today.

General Club Announcements:
- Thanks to Paul for providing dessert today.
- Due to timing for program today, we will not have any club announcements or sharing, so please check out this week’s bulletin for those.
Other Club Announcements:
- Next Board meeting, Thursday 10/20, 5 pm at CHAC
- Dave is looking for volunteers for this weekend to usher at CSM. If you have time please let Dave know.
District Announcements:
- District Governor Partner’s Project…Read Me A Picture
-Judy will be leading this project.
- Avenues of Service will be held October 22, 9 am – 3 pm, Doubletree in San Jose. Lunch will be served; we will pass around the signup sheet. This is an event that the Club covers the cost and we would like to have a good showing.
President’s Club: 15 members so far, please join them! Newest Member is Dennis Kobza. Oh wait, Paul announced the birth of his first grand baby – a baby girl named Remy. He will also join the President’s Club
Auction: This week we will be auctioning a Week at Club Tahoe in Incline Village, enjoy Thanksgiving there the week of 11/19-11/26, two bedroom unit that sleeps up to 6. If you know someone who would like to go, the bidding started at $500.
We have some great auctions coming up!! Remember if you have anything to donate, please contact me.
SPEAKER INTRO: We have an exciting program for you today…Candidate Forum for the Whisman School District Board. I’d like to bring Ken Schwaderer up to introduce them and start the program. Ken allowed the 4 candidates who are competing for 3 openings to introduce themselves: Tamara Wilson, Jose Gutierrez, Laura Blakely and Peter Darrah.


Next Week:
Our next meeting here will be Tuesday, October 18th and our Speaker will be Congresswoman Anna Eshoo.
October 25th we will have our District Governor here.
Our 4fer next week will be Bert Raphael
