Club Announcements:
- Community Service was kicked off at CSMA by Jim Cochran and Jerylann this past weekend. Everything went smoothly
- Hopes Corner: Date for next event was chosen. November 12th
- Next Tuesday, 9/27, No regular lunch. Evening Social event at Jerylann’s
- Next Rotary Board Meeting: Thurs. 10/20 5PM at CHAC
- Additional District events announced
- Rotary endowment: Jerylann’s donation of $100 was the first winner of the Auctions to be held for the benefit of the Endowment Fund. Sanjay won the second event held today for 2 Stanford vs. Washington State football tickets for $150. Next item to be auctioned off will be held Oct. 11th for a week at Club Tahoe in Incline Village during Thanksgiving week- 11/19 to 11/26. Please consider bidding as well as offering anything to be donated for this cause.
Judy introduced our speaker, Dan Rich, City Manager of Mountain View who spoke on the hot topics concerning Mountain View. Primarily Housing, or lack of affordable options as well as the complicated transportation issues the City and Region now faces.
