Ravi presented Past President Tom with a Rotary Banner from his Club and Tom presented our Club’s banner to Ravi.

Our Rotary Foundation Chair, Walt Joyce, spoke to the Club about our commitment to TRF and how Members can contribute.
- Upcoming Club Dates:
Fridays at 9:30 am – Rotary Pickleball, Rengstorff Park
September 14 – Arthur Ashe Tennis Event at Cuesta Park from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The event provides low income, disabled, and neurodivergent youth the opportunity to learn and experience tennis. It is supported by MVPAL.
September 16 – District Governor Herb Ritter visits the Club. Please try to attend this meeting. The Board will meet at 11:15 am with DG prior to our meeting.
September 20 – Friends of Stevens Creek Trail Clean Up, 9:00 am at Whisman Park; Club trail cleanup will be in October or November
October 16 – District 5170 Avenues of Service Celebration. 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm, at the Columbo Club in Oakland. The Club will pay for any Members who would like to attend. Great opportunity for new Members.
February 7 – Tentative date for Crab Feed
Speaker
Judy H. introduced our Speaker For The Day, Santa Clara County Supervisor and Mountain View Rotarian Margaret Abe Koga. Margaret gave a very informative talk about what County Supervisor do and some of the issues Santa Clara County is facing, particularly related to the impact of Federal Budget Cuts. Margaret also invited Club Members to “Backpack With MAK.” The two upcoming dates for this are:

Saturday, October 25th, Almaden Quicksilver County Park
