Welcome back to Dave Cole! Dave is out of the hospital and looks great! He will be starting chemo therapy and radiation treatments soon. Please keep him in your prayers.
Judy Hanneman needs volunteers to help interview students for Scholarships between April 10th and 24th at Alta Vista and MVLA Adult Education.
Alicia Crank currently leads our Community Service Committee. She is looking for more help to review the 27 applications from organizations seeking grants.
Please E-mail her if you can help with some difficult decisions.
April 18-20 is the District Celebration at Santa Clara Marriott Hotel - Programs are on Chuck's table. Please register to attend, especially for the Saturday night dinner when we hope our Club will have a full table. We also plan to join

Cheryl Moller from Club Service announced that the committee is looking at Bocce Ball as a new Rotary activity. Lots of members were interested.
Cheryl is also passing around a sign up for new membership talks. Each member is asked to share (in 5 minutes or less) What's new with you - grandchildren, hobbies, vacations, what's new in your job, funny stories, item of interest.

Carol Olson from the Morgan Family Foundation spoke about the Northern Sierra Trust.
Jim Morgan was the CEO of Applied Materials for over 30 years. Jim and his wife Becky Morgan from the state senate formed the Morgan Family Foundation.
The foundation was able to get five organizations to come together to fundraise for the Northern Sierras.
Feather River Land Trust, Sierra Business Council, The Nature Conservancy, Truckee & Donner Land Trust, and The Trust for Public Land.
Their goal is to raise 100 million in private funding and 300 million in public funding to protect 100,000 acres from development threats, wildfire risk, and the changing climate.
