Tom Myers offered for auction two tickets to the Opera - Carmen and Walt Joyce
paid $35 into Club Funds.
ALICIA CRANK, Community Services Committee Chairperson presented checks for grants to local organizations:-
Bruce Barsi- Challenge Team (MV/LA/LAH) Challenge Bike Ride- $200.00
Monique Kane- Community Health Awareness Council (CHAC) - $2,000.00
David Duran PhD.-Family & Children's Services (Fatherhood Book Project) $300.00
Members who have already been interviewing students in the local schools were thanked for their time and effort
Dennis Kobza and David Tran for helping at MV High School,
Monique and Bill Heinz at MV Academy,
Bruce Barsi , Chuck Osborn and Peter Early at
Judy Hannemann and Sandi McDonough at Alta Vista High & MVLA Adult Education.
Their recommendations will be reviewed along with those from other Rotary Clubs on Friday at the MVLA Community Roundtable.

Next week, May 5, Speaker is to be Darryl Stallworth from the organization DEATH PENALTY FOCUS, to make us more aware of what happens on our Courts.
