Thought for the Day: Bruce Barsi brought his inspiration instead of an inspiring thought for the day. Bruce's brother Don Barsi has been an inspiration to Bruce throughout his life and he wanted to share his brother with us.

Introduction of Visitors: Sandi McDonough - We were joined this week by Patricia Joyce.
Finemaster: Alicia Crank forgot the Bucket of Fines and declared September 1st as $20 Tuesday.
Tom Myers and Sandi McDonough shared some announcements. Karen Simpson had her baby, Annabel Gardiner on 8/27 and we welcomed Kim Castro back from her leave.
-CHAC Parking Update - Thank you to all who have signed up to volunteer for the upcoming fundraiser for CHAC. Mountain View Art and Wine Festival is happening September 12 and 13. -
Our speaker, Bob Burns, shared with us the mission and goal of the "Kasimu Education Fund" (KEF). KEF is a non-profit organization established to support the students and operations of the Kasimu Elementary School in Manyesa, Malawi, to improve educational opportunities and to maximize their spiritual, social academic development. It is also KEF's intnt that the local communities will benefit and improve over time as a result of these improved educational opportunities and economic development. KEF believes that education holds the key to breaking the cycles of poverty, disease and hunger and has focused its efforts on making a direct impact on the prosperity of this impoverished Manyesa area.
