-Gerry Felix for her work with the Rotary Foundation. Foundation Pledges are at 100% and our collections are over 90%. $7220 sent to foundation so far. MV all time giving at $248,480.

-Winners of the Foundation Drawing: 1st prize to New Orleans - Ian Mackenzie (Santa

Cruz) 2nd prize to Panama - PDG Ron Sekkel (Scotts Valley)

Club Announcements:

-RI President Ray Klinginsmith is coming to town on Sunday Jan. 2nd at the Saddle Rack in Fremont from 11:30am till 3pm. Here is an opportunity to hear the RI presidents Keynote Address. It is a fellowship event and you can even learn some line dancing. The cost is $35 per person and you need to register on the district website.

-Rooster T. Feathers – Sunday Dec. 12th show at 8pm (doors open at 7:15pm be there by 7:30pm) 10 Free tickets - 2 item (drink) minimum

-Crab Feed – Alan Goodman distributed tickets today

-Board Meeting – Wednesday Dec 8th at the YMCA (Rotary Room)

-Jim Cochran – sign up for Rota Care food delivery, sign-up sheet went around.

Fine Master – Judy Hannemann:

-Judy had a birthday 12/03. Monique also had a birthday. Jenny has been absent due to work. Roger told us about the Christmas party. Peter didn’t make the Christmas party because he was in Walla Walla, WA with his in-laws. Fred is going to football game in FL with Jim Spangler. Jim Cunningham let us know there is another Red team - Wisconsin!

Program     Alicia Crank – Ghana:

Nov 3-12 Accra, Ghana. Trip was in three parts:

1)      Arrival – meet & greet/hospitality. Local Rotarians.

2)      Project Site Visits & Project Fair

3)      Site seeing & exploration.

Lots of street vendors. Area had a large Christian presence. 28 Rotarians traveled and about 1/3 of them from California.

Project Site Visits: Split into 3 groups. Alicia’s group went to see a public library. Donating school supplies & books. Library is a big shipping container – amazing what they did with it!

Humanitarian Efforts – deworming exercise.

Worked on Coast Side.Was told not to go in water, very polluted.

Rotary Foundation Overview – 1 full day.

Project Fair – 60 different Rotary Clubs presenting their projects.

Sightseeing – Cape Coast, Elmina, Canopy Walk.
