Introduction of Visitors: Anita Grossman introduced visiting Rotarian Jenny Lehr, Palo Alto Rotary & Assistant Governor of Area 9. Other visitors were Phil Armi’s daughter Jody & Frank Davila’s guest, Lou Corkeva from Wells Fargo Bank.

Presentations:

-Walt Joyce & Rooster Group: They had a great time on Sunday at Rooster T Feathers. Alan, Walt & Roger split the tab so what was collected from other members was donated to Polio Plus.

-Chuck Osborn presented Gerry Felix a gift….shared the gift he stole from her at the Christmas party!

 

Club Announcements:

-2011 Rotary Intl Convention is scheduled for May 21-25 in New Orleans. Reminder that Fees go up after Dec 15th.

-Deadline to go see RI President Ray Klinginsmith is Friday Dec 24th. Coming to town on Sunday Jan. 2nd at the Saddle Rack in Fremont from 11:30am till 3pm. The cost is $35 per person and you need to register on the district website.

-Crab Feed – Alan: plenty of tickets. Need some tasters for Friday afternoon prior to event.

-Appeal letters have brought in $710 plus they added $100 from Rooster T Feathers event.

-Alicia is looking for raffle prized for the Crab Feed.

-Jim Cochran still has 5 spots open for RotaCare Food delivery, please sign up.

-Mary Fisher passed away yesterday; she was a Rotarian for 47 years. See Sandi for details of services.

-Fred – Update on our lunch finances. Need 28 people eating or more to break even, less than that costs us money.

-Dark – no meeting - on December 28th

 

Fine Master – Judy Hannemann:

-Confession from Sandi, they are moving again, not sure what they are doing yet! Steve Nichols has plans for the holidays, going to Hawaii and using the condo he won from Asante last year.

 

Speakers this week are our newer members:

Peter Early:  Born in Fresno & grew up in Mountain View. Married with 2 children and another on the way (daughter 3 & son 18 months). Married for 4 years. Consultant for a document imaging company. Sells copiers& printers. Serves start- ups to Fortune 500 companies.

Heather Stenshamn: Born & raised in Wisconsin. Husband is Swedish. Lived in Sweden before moving to California. Summer of 1998 signed up as camp counselor for Worlds Affair Seminar hosted by Rotarian Group in Wisconsin. Learned about Rotary and knew she had to become a Rotarian. Signed up in Madison, WI for 2 years. Heather has worked as CPA in tax & audit for last 12 years. She & her husband published a book from their world travels. Purchased a home 1 year ago in Willow Glen. Has 1 son that is 4 years old.

Jerylann Mateo: Born in New York City, moved out to California as a toddler and was raised in Mountain View. Attended the old MV high school downtown, last graduating class in 1981! Married high school sweet-heart and celebrated 25th wedding anniversary this past summer. Has 2 daughters (18 & 24). Works as Real Estate Broker for Alain Pinel Realtors. Stays active in community with volunteering & sits on the Board of Directors for the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce.
