Maria Marroquin, Executive Director of The Dayworkers Center came to thank us for our support and to update us with news of their activities now that they have settled in the new building on
Presidents Club Certificates were presented to Alan and Hiro.
Geri Felix reminded us of Rotary Foundation’s long-term programs to eradicate polio, hunger and poverty.
Bruce, our new FINE master, paid for missing meetings and announced fines from Heather, himself and Monique for wedding anniversaries.
It was the last time to sign up for the San Jose Giants game on July 30. There are only 10 people signed up. If you still want to go, call Chuck as soon as possible to get a ticket reserved for you.
Alan introduced Rick Row from Ecology Action, the regional program of San Francisco Bay Area for Energy Upgrade California. Rick discussed ways to save energy and get incentive rebates for the construction cost of certain home improvements. Homeowners should get professional assessments of their home conditions and work with participating contractors to reduce energy use.
