Introduction of Visitors:  Alan Goodman.  Frank Davilla introduced Mike Davis.  Joe Lichenger and Kevin      Chaipeilo from Recology were also introduced as guests and potent ional new members. 

 

Raffle of computer cases.  Frank Davilla contributed 4 computer cases to the club.  There were raffled for $10 each to: Jim Spangler, Fred Storek, Chuck Osborn and Ken Schwaderer.

 

General Club Announcements:

 

·         Foundation Minute – Gerry Felix. Nothing new.  We are 100% in our contributions as well as over the amount we committed to raise.

 

·         Community Service Minute – Jim Spangler.  The Club Board and the Endowment Board of Directors have approved the distribution of funds raised from the Crab Feed.  A date for presentation to the organizations will be determined.

 

·         Club Service Minute – Walt Joyce.  Thanked all who made the Rotating Dinner a success.  Save the date of Friday June 8 for our annual Golf Tournament.  Golf at Shoreline and BBQ at the Elks club on the grass by the pool.  He passed around a sign-up sheet for both.  Stay tuned.

 

·         Membership Minute – Jerylann Mateo.  She has a couple of possible members (at the meeting today) that she will be talking with to join.

 

·         Nominations Committee Update – Tom Myers.  He thanked all who volunteered to help in the upcoming year as President Elect.  He also mentioned to save the date of Sunday June 24, 6:00 PM at Michaels for the annual Kick Out event.     

 

 

Rotary Jeopardy Bruce Barsi.  All the people needing to play were not present so Bruce asked for confessions. 

 

Special Announcements –

 

Heather and Fredrik Stenshamn announced the birth of their second son, Daniel, on Tuesday May 8th.  She will be bonding with him for the next several months.  Pictures will be coming soon.

 

There will be a reception for Monique Kane on Tuesday evening, May 22, 4:30PM – 6:00PM at the Los Altos History Museum as Senator Joe Simiton announced her as his nomination for Woman of the Year.  Congratulations Monique!
