Mountain View Rotary Club
Meeting Notes by Jack
September 22, 2015
President-elect Jerylann Mateo greeted and welcomed members and guests to the Rotary Club of Mountain View where, “We’re More Than A Club…We’re a Family!!!”
President Twana is out of Town.
She reminded us that our International call to action for 2015-2016 is to “Be a Gift to the World.” Our club’s call to action is “Fun Through Service.” This year’s club focus is “Being the Best We Can Be.”
Jack shared his thoughts for the day.
“There comes a time when you ought to start doing what you want. Take a job that you love. You will jump out of bed in the morning. I think you are out of your mind if you keep taking jobs that you don’t like because you think it will look good on your resume. Isn’t that a little like saving up sex for your old age?”
Warren Buffet
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.”
Steve Jobs
Song master Phil Armi led us in singing “Oh what a Beautiful Morning”
Thanks to Jack for providing dessert today.
