Secretary      The minutes from January were approved with the corrected month.  Next month's meeting was changed from the 18th to the 11th to insure maximum attendance.

Discussion was held regarding what to do with members who loose their job.  We need a policy to be fair and consistent.  The mater was referred to Ken to recommend a policy.

President Elect

Tom will be in charge of the meetings for March.  Alan will check if Interactors will be attending the 3/10 meeting.  The 3/30 meeting is suggested as a follow up to the Visioning meeting.

President      Attendance at the District Conference is requested with the Saturday evening dinner being the main event for our club to attend.  We will assist Los Altos with the Hospitality Suite.  Judy Hannemann is our chairperson.  We will be responsible for the GSE Team on April 7th.  Bert and  Walt Joyce will assist.

Club Service

The Crab Feed is still being wrapped up.  A net of approximately $12,000 was made.  A Bocci Ball event was floated for our next social.  Some people have experience with this event.  Cheryl will check for possible date.  The meeting closest to Easter, 4/7, might be a possible "Bring a Bunny' to the meeting for the Cops & Gobblers project.  Cheryl will check with Bruce.

Community Service

A hate free event is being planned by the City for 3/16.  (Now rescheduled for March 25.) Alicia requested that Rotary be a cosponsor to take advantage of the Non profit rate and insurance to rent the Adobe building.  If Walt Joyce says it will be covered under our policy, it was approved for Rotary to be a cosponsor. Grants  March 1st will be the hard deadline for accepting applications.  Alicia is putting together a committee for recommendations.  April 25 will be the Rotary @ Work Day.

We will get more information on helping with Stevens Creek Trail from the City.

Youth             A limit on attendees at camp RYLA will be effect this year.  A cost of $425 per attendee for 2009.  Hal is interviewing now for possible attendees.  He will be asked to prioritize the candidates and we will know by next Board meeting how many we can afford  or what our allotment will be.  Possible attendance by Interactors at our regular meeting on March 10?  Alan will check with Interact.

Membership

Ken recommended that District and RI be contacted to see if something could be done to adjust the membership fee given the current economy.  The club collects $70 for RI and $35 for the District for Member fees from our $300 dues for the year.

Foundation

Jim said he sent 14 letters to members regarding contributing the The Foundation.  Eight members have not contributed.  80% of our members have contributed something and 59% are at least Double Sustainers.

International

Bert reported that since the International Endowment Fund returns are down for the year, they will stop funding projects sooner than usual.  He will check to see if the water project we sponsored with Palo Alto has been funded.

Treasurer      Our District dues are paid through June.  Ken wanted clarification that club dues are covered for the Bulletin editor but not lunches.  He is correct.

Miscellaneous

Tim Sandis has been moved to Palo Alto Commons and is in a wheelchair.  Bill Field is home but not getting out much.

Adjournment           The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 .  Next meeting 3/11.
