Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying these fine summer days. They sure do seem to be going quickly as we are already in August and almost ready to resume our Club Meetings. We are still dark next Tuesday, August 5th, but we will have our first meeting of the Rotary year on August 12th, which will be a Club Assembly. I hope everyone will be able to join us for the meeting.
I wanted to update everyone about the plans for the current Rotary Year. As most of you know, President Cathy is still recovering from her surgery, so a few of us will be covering the presidential responsibilities and meetings for the next few months. Cathy is hopeful that she will be able to return to her role as President in January. A huge thank you to everyone who has stepped up to help, with some folks wearing two and even three hats. This is what the plan is for the rest of the year:
Bruce will cover the administrative tasks of the President for the Club with help from Heather for matters related to the District. Tom, Heather, Paul and Bruce will be presiding at meetings for the coming months until the end of the year.

August 12 -- First Club Meeting of the Year and Club Assembly
August 20 -- Board Meeting, 5:00 pm, Tori's Office
August 22 -- Kickout, 5:00 pm, Il Fornaio – This is a mandatory event which all members must pay for, so please do your best to attend
September 16 -- District Governor Herb Ritter visits Club
September 20 – Stevens Creek Trail Clean Up, 9:00 am at Whisman Park
February 7 -- Tentative date for Crab Feed
I think that is most of it for now. I hope to see everyone at our Club Assembly on August 12th. I know this is going to be a great year and thank you all for all your work to make it successful.
