President’s Greeting:
President Scott welcomed us all to the meeting, explained the theme for the year and added our club theme. He also asked us to silence our cell phones during the meeting.

Announcements:
- Bert reported on PETS meeting for new Presidents. He passed out a roster of proposed officers for the new year.
- Our social meeting for this month will be on Tuesday, March 27th, at the home of Bruce and Suzanne. It will be a pizza party starting at 6 PM.
- Rotating Dinner: Anita said the dinner will be on April 28. She announced some homes that will host dinner and asked us for a couple
more homes. All food will be furnished by a caterer. An attendance sign-up sheet was passed around.
- CSA Empty Bowls Soup Supper is Sunday, April 15. A sign-up list was passed around.
- The next Board meeting is set for Thursday, March 22nd, 5 P.M.
- The Mountain View High School Madrigal Chorus sent a letter of thanks to us. They enjoyed singing for us and appreciated the $200
contribution we made.
Reports:
- We received a report on the club snow ski trip this past weekend to Bruce’s cabin at Tahoe. Three families attended and found that Sunday was a sunny ski day with new snow covering the slopes.
- Bert reported on the state of Polio elimination around the world
- Bob W. just returned from a teaching trip to Chili. His sessions ran from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and that pushed his energy limit.
- Phil returned from two weeks in Mexico to lead our song today.
- Canopy.org told us about the availability of trees for our homes. They will have a planting at Crittenden Middle School, 9 to 12 noon on May 5th. All are invited.
Program: Gary White speaking on “The Climate Reality Project”.
Gary included slides as he presented an understanding for us of the causes of climate change and discussed some in detail. He talked of the low-discharge methods of generating power and described what will happen in the future.
