Greeter & Thought for the Day: Susan Bacchi offered a thought, “The children in our family community are suffering mental health issues in response to COVID. As grown-ups, we need to set good examples to our future generations. Introduction of Visitors: President Elect, Tori Atwell introduced a visitor, Ida Rose, Community Service Advocate.
General Club Announcements:
- Friends of the Stevens Creek Trail-Trailblazer Race. The date is Sunday, September 25. They are looking for participants and volunteers. https://trailblazer.itsyourrace.com/event.aspx?id=6293
- Monthly Speaker Chairs – Passing along a sign-up sheet. There are only a few open months.
- Art & Wine Festival on September 10th. Sign up to volunteer. Paul noted that we have 16 volunteers so far.
- Golf Tournament on Friday, September 30th followed by dinner at Michaels. Stephen and Walt are organizing the event. A sign-up sheet for the tournament and the dinner were passed around.
- Service Projects – Cathy Merrill sent around sign-up sheets.

Sanjay introduced our speaker, Anne Infeld, of Citizens’ Climate Lobby back again. Her presentation focus was on Clean Energy. Shared great information with us regarding her work. Shared a book, ELECTRIFY with Clean Energy, by Saul Griffith. Rotary Mountain View is a focus group for Citizens’ Climate Lobby. Our feedback is wanted. SIGN UP FOR FREE to become a friend of CCL.
