President’s Greeting by Heather: Good Afternoon & welcome to the Rotary Club of Mountain View where: We’re More Than A Club…We’re a Family!!!
Our International call to action for 2021-2022 is “Serve to Change Lives”. Our club’s call to action is “As a Family We Serve to Change Lives.”

Greeter & Thought for the Day: With the on-going conflict in Ukraine, Paul shared some quotes about Peace.
Introduction of Visitors: Sanjay introduced prospective member Margaret Abe Koga and Tom Moran
General Club Announcements:
- As a potential Club Service Project, the Red Cross held a blood drive at the Mountain View Senior Center on April 16th. Other dates are July 9th, August 13th, and October 8th. Please contact Heather if you are able to help with any of these events.
- Paul told us that the Club has raised over $11,000 for our community grants through member donations.
- Sanjay provided feedback on the well received Club Picnic on Sunday, April 28th, at Cuesta Park. A good time was had by all
- Mandy gave an update on the Rotary International Foundation. Our club usually has 100% participation with donations each year. Members need to make a donation of $100 to be counted towards that goal. Mandy also said members can donate some of their RI points to other members. Please contact Mandy to learn more.
- Mandy, Heather and Paul recognized Paul Harris Fellows for last year and this year. Recipients included: Jim Cunningham, Judy Hannemann, Heather Stenshamn and Roger Kao.
District Announcements:
- Tori gave an update on the District 5170 Conference was April 22nd through April 24th.

Speaker:
No speaker this week. Long time Rotarian Dennis Kobza recently passed away and club members shared their memories of the wonderful things Dennis did for the club and members.
He will be missed.
Mark your Calendars: Next week we will be back at the Adobe Building on May 10th, with the Interwheel Friendship District 5170. Heather or Bruce will let you know if you are the 4fer next week.
Our monthly club social will be on May 24th at 5:30 at Vaso Azzuro on Castro Street in Mountain View.
