ANNOUNCEMENTS:  

Carla Paul announced that we can celebrate at the Historic Del Monte Building, 100 South Murphy in Sunnyvale on Wednesday, November 5, starting at 5.30 pm. She has tickets available. Donations of wine for the wine-tasting were collected at Chuck's table at the door.

Bruce Barsi announced that Cops and Gobblers food and toy distribution will be on Sunday, November 23. Meet at the Police Station at 9 am.

REMINDER  - The services for Henry Holand will be this Saturday, Nov 1, at 2 pm at the SeventhDayAdventistChurch on Springer Road. Jim Spangler asked that we bring memories of Henry to share with friends.

WALT JOYCE spoke about the current financial situation of insurance companies and then told about his recent trip to Israel and Jordan.

A Certificate was presented to John Rinaldi for joining the Presidents Club.

FINEMASTER

Jim Cunningham as Finemaster asked that anyone who is not wearing their Rotary pin should leave a donation on the table.

SPEAKER

Alan Goodman introduced Cheryl Canning and Nidia Ferrugia from Rotacare. A video about the Clinic and some of the volunteers and patients was shown. Cheryl told us about the increase in services provided in the last ten years, and listed the number of specialties now included. She told how a patient wounded in a bombing attack was treated and helped to walk again as a result of contributions through Rotacare by many different doctors, specialists and organizations.
