Alan Goodman called for silence to remember Chuck's grandson whose life was sadly ended by leukemia.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Chuck Osborn, our Club Trainer and efficient Secretary, urged everyone to attend our Club "Visioning" meeting on Thursday, March 26 from 5-0pm.  A sign-up sheet was passed around.  Cost is $10 to defray the cost of sandwiches.  On our links page, find a survey that Chuck would like us to take prior to the meeting - please turn it in to Chuck by 3/10.  Click HERE for a PDF version of the survey.  Click HERE for a Microsoft Word version of the survey.

 

April 18-20 is the District Celebration at Santa Clara Marriott Hotel.  Programs can be viewed on District website, There is a tennis tournament but no golf this year. Please plan to attend some or all of the events.  Our Club is to join Los Altos in a hospitality suite.

 

Alan Goodman checked that Club helpers for the Speech Contest are ready for next week's event.

 

Alicia announced that applications for Grants should be sent to her by Mar 1 - she needs a volunteer to help screen applications.

Food donations for CSA Food Drive can be left at the Chamber of Commerce.

Alicia has a new position working for C.H.A.S.E.

Save 4/25 from 9a - 12p as a potential Stevens Creek Trail work day

Auction items unsold or that came in after our Crab Feed will be put online for bidding.

Led by one million volunteers and 35,000 employees, this national network is the American Red Cross, which annually:

  • Mobilizes relief to families affected by nearly 70,000 disasters,
  • Keeps U.S .military families connected worldwide, 
  • Trains more than 15 million people in the skills they need to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their homes, communities and world, 
  • Is the largest provider of blood and blood products, supplying more than 3,000 of the nation's hospitals and works with Red Cross partners around the globe to restore hope and dignity to the world's most vulnerable people.

The MISSION of the new Silicon Valley Chapter of the Red Cross is to provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies
