Meeting Recap 4/7/09
We were entertained by special guests today from the Philippines.
The GSE team led by Cris Querubin - Cris is an entrepreneur and is presently President of Condovilla Development Corp. engaged in real estate and development. He is a member of the Rotary Club of downtown Manila since 1987.
Team Member Paul Aquino - Paul is an instructor of voice at the University of the Philippines. Paul sang for us and has a beautiful voice. Paul is being hosted by Bert Raphael.
Team Member Ken Jamandre - Ken is an assistant professor for speech communications at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
Team Member Van Brian Santos - Van is a lawyer by profession working at the senate of the Philippines. Van is being hosted by John Rinaldi.
Team Member Chock Encabo - Chock is a teacher in PAREF Southridge School, teaching history and economics. He is also a member of the Rotaract Club Manila Metro and the IPDRR for RID 3810. Chock is also a part time actor and wedding singer. Chock also has a beautiful voice.
Team Member Je Canoy - Je is presently working with Marsh Philippines as Vice President for Sales and Business Development. She is also working as a part-time professor to college students at Miriam College. Je is being hosted by Walt Joyce.
The GSE team will be touring the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts and the Rengstorff House later this afternoon. They will then be headed to the Los Altos Sunset Club.

President Sheila attended a celebration dinner given by the Community Health Awareness Council CHAC and received an acknowledgement for our club's 2008 contribution. Bruce Barsi said a word of thanks for the support of CHAC in our community. They make a difference in crime involving our youth. Crime was spiking upward and is now spiking downward due to the efforts of CHAC and home counseling visits. Also a thanks to Carla Paul and the El Camino Hospital CHAC now has a "CHAC Mobile" which is a mobile counseling center now parked at Castro Elementary School.
