Today's Speaker:

Our speaker today was Maureen Wadiak from Community Services Agency
She was introduced by Tom Myers and Tom says Maureen is the backbone of CSA.

Maureen told us about two new projects going on at CSA.
One was the Intensive Case Management Services which is how CSA helps keep families from becoming homeless. They do this by providing emergency financial assistance, helping with holiday programs by providing gifts and meals for families around the holidays.
Food & Nutrition Assistance
ESL Classes or other further education
Financial Management Classes

The second project she spoke about was the Fall Prevention Program.
This program helps keep seniors living independently and on their own.
Many seniors experience a fall or multiple falls. Those people over 65 who do fall are 10x more likely to enter a nursing home.
This program will assist seniors with seeing their doctors and getting corrected medications.
They are also supplying some seniors with a Call Care button to summon emergency response in case of a fall.
